What is Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy’s goal is to decrease problematic behaviors and increase skill acquisition for improved functional abilities across environments through a play-based approach.

ABA programs can help children: 

​​

  • Target behaviors in everyday tasks

  • Increase language and communication

  • Improve attention, social skills  and academics

  • Learn new skills by breaking it down into steps (toothbrushing, toileting, etc)

  • Community integration (parks, grocery shopping, school)​

  • Decreasing self-injurious behavior, tantrums and elopement (running away).
